A Part of the Great Commission: Go and Teach All Nations
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Stepping into the Great Commission
All Power in Heaven and Earth
In Matthew 28:18–20, Jesus delivers a powerful commandment to His disciples that applies to us today. He firstly declares, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
This is no small statement, but the foundation of our faith. Jesus, the risen King, holds ultimate authority over all creation. Because of this, His command carries divine weight, and His promise offers unshakable hope.
Go Teach All Nations
“Go ye therefore,” Jesus commands, sending us out with a significant task ahead. Our commission is clear: “Teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
This is our charge to teach and preach the saving message of Jesus to all nations, transforming the world by reconciling it to God through divine grace. We’re called to go forth and preach the Everlasting Gospel, baptizing the nations for the Lord Jesus.
Observing His Commandments
Jesus reinforces our commission: “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”
We must be thorough, teaching the Lord’s commandments in full. We must carefully teach the principles and demonstrate the way of life Jesus taught, urging others to do all He has commanded. We don’t go alone in this mission. In every step and every challenge, Jesus is present right beside us always—even to the end of the world.
Jesus is With Us Always
Today, obey the call of Jesus to the Great Commission. Teach and preach the Gospel to all nations by Holy Spirit’s power. The mission may feel vast, but we’re never abandoned. The King who holds all power and authority walks with us, unwavering and eternal.

Our Lord Jesus,
Embolden me to share the Gospel and teach all nations, doing my duty for the Great Commission. Help me to trust that Your power and presence will be with me always as I go forth in obedience to Your Word.
