What We Believe

The Holy Scriptures

One Faith Gospel Ministries stands firm on resolute beliefs anchored in the Word of God. Our Belief Statement declares the foundational truths of the Christian faith, directing our mission and reinforcing our apostolic calling.

We defend fundamental scriptural truths upheld faithfully by the Apostolic Church, securing our foundation in sound doctrine. The statement below reflects OFG Ministries’ dedication to biblical integrity, proclaiming God’s truth with bold witness.

The Godhead

The God of the Bible

The Godhead revealed in Scripture is defined as the single, indivisible, and only true Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, finding full identity and revelation in Jesus Christ, the express image of the Eternal God.

The true and complete identity of the Godhead is revealed exclusively in the Holy Bible throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

The Lord Jesus Christ

The Only-Begotten Son

The man Jesus Christ is God Himself manifest in the flesh, the only-begotten Son of God, who was born of the Virgin, lived a sinless life, died upon the cross, and was resurrected from the grave on the third day in victory over sin and death.

Jesus Christ is the final Prophet of the divine revelation, the King of the Jews, the Living Word of God, the Risen Savior, Deity, both truly God and truly man, the Supreme Creator, Supreme Judge, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Bible

The Written Word of God

The Holy Bible is the revealed Word of God written, God-breathed, comprising 66 books recorded by holy men of old divinely inspired by the Spirit of God.

The Godhead has progressively dispensed and sovereignly preserved the Scriptures throughout the ages as a certain and faithful prophetic witness of authority concerning His revealed will to mankind—now providentially preserved in the 1611 King James Bible.

The Sovereignty of God

The Almighty God

The Most High and Holy God, through His infallible foreknowledge, immutable counsel, and absolute power, ordains, governs, and directs all created realities, visible and invisible, to serve His inviolable purposes.

Through the Word of His power, God sustains all creation to the extent that its very existence hangs upon the exercise of His sovereign will. Under His sovereign agency, the Almighty God brings to pass all events, which take place in the history of creation, but is neither the author of sin nor in any way unrighteous in conduct.

The Fall of Man

Understanding Human Nature

Mankind, through the fall of our first ancestors from the state of human perfection both spiritually and physically, has since suffered from an inherited corruption of their entire being which the Bible defines as “sin” and by extension “the flesh.”

The nature of mankind with every faculty the human being possesses is now inherently ruined and subjected to the corruption of sin, which is the root of all unrighteous and evil conduct. This state of sinful corruption results in death both spiritually and physically.

The Gospel and Salvation

The Everlasting Gospel

Gospel salvation is attributed to the free grace of God alone, granted through God-given repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice, death and resurrection, apart from works of the Divine Law or of a personal nature.

The unmerited graces of Gospel salvation are divinely gifted obedience, righteousness, holiness, with works of justifying faith, and pardon from the divine penalty for sin which is eternal condemnation, torment and death, both spiritually and physically.

Election and Predestination

The Elect and Salvation

Salvation is the free gift of God and is issued to the elect, who have been predestined in Jesus Christ from the foundation of the world to elective grace, saving faith, conformity to His image, and everlasting life.

The elect are predestined according to the foreknowledge of God and their salvation is accomplished solely by the determinate counsel of God in Christ before the world began. All peoples outside of this group, in judgment for their own sin and rejection of God and the Gospel, are appointed to everlasting damnation.

The Atonement Sacrifice

Reconciliation to God

Jesus Christ is the final substitutionary sacrifice of atonement presented by the Father to redeem those elected to salvation from the foundation of the world. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed at Calvary and His body broken for the remission of sins according to the New Covenant of grace in the Everlasting Gospel.

The atonement was completed to purchase believers back from the dominion of death and liberate them from the powers of darkness, redeeming them to God. A unique quality of the atonement sacrifice is the grace provided for divine healing, being distributed at the personal discretion of God through any of several means chosen by Him.

Water Baptism

Baptism and Believing

Water baptism is to be undertaken in obedience to the commandment of Jesus Christ upon faith to salvation. Confessing believers are to be baptized into Christ by immersion, for the remission of sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Water baptism is symbolic of the new spiritual birth, or regeneration, which has taken place upon salvation identifying them with the death and resurrection of Christ. Because of the spiritual and cognitive requirements needed to qualify for water baptism, it is only undertaken by spiritually conscious believers and does not extend to infants.

The Holy Spirit

The Work of the Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. He animates the unregenerate to salvation and affects inward spiritual rebirth and regeneration. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer as a seal of salvation, sanctifies them, and through Spirit Baptism, endues them with power for Christian life and service.

Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are transformed from the state of depravity in sin into a state of sanctification affecting righteousness and holiness of life and conduct and separation from the world. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, believers are given certain spiritual gifts of a supernatural nature to advance the Kingdom of God.

The Second Coming of Christ

Jesus Christ Will Return

Jesus Christ is prophesied to return to the earth a second time to execute judgment upon its inhabitants. His return will be witnessed by all and will occur at the conclusion of a severe period of tribulation taking place in the earth.

The dead in Christ will be resurrected and those believers who are still alive, together with them, will be received up into the presence of the Lord and glorified as He comes in the clouds with great power and glory.

At the appearing of Jesus Christ, the wicked and unrepentant enemies of God and rejecters of the Gospel will be judged and destroyed and a 1000 year millennial reign of the Kingdom of God will begin where Jesus Christ rules the nations with a rod of iron.

Resurrection and Judgment

The Two Resurrections

At the coming of Jesus Christ, the saints of the Christian and patriarchal ages will be resurrected and stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account of their works done in the body. This is the first resurrection.

Following the Millennial Kingdom, the dead of all the ages will be resurrected at the last day. This is the second resurrection. At this resurrection, all will be required to stand before the great white throne of God and give an account of their lives.

Books will be opened, including the book of life, and all the dead will be judged for their deeds according to what is written in the books. Those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

The New Creation

The Consummation

After the final judgment of mankind, a new heavens and new earth will be inaugurated by God. The former heavens and earth will pass away, the supernatural regeneration of a new heavens and earth will occur, and the New Jerusalem and Tabernacle of God will descend in consummation of the new creation.

The manifest presence of God and the Lamb will be centrally present in New Jerusalem where His people will dwell with Him. The nations that are saved will bring their honor and glory into it according to its world governance.

No evil thing or abomination will be present in the new heavens and new earth. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will be permitted entrance.
