Divinely Secured Salvation: Kept by the Power of God
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Secured by God’s Power
Born Again to Living Hope
First Peter 1:3–5 declares the foundation of our confidence. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” it begins.
Our salvation is not earned by works but birthed by God’s mercy and grace. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ we are given a supernatural living hope that is vibrant, active, and anchored in the risen Savior who conquered sin, death, and the devil.
Our Future Inheritance
The passage continues, “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” Our future is not uncertain but eternal.
The inheritance God has prepared for us is imperishable, pure, and unfading. It is secured in heaven beyond the reach of time, decay, or human failure. No thief can steal it, and no force can corrupt it. Because it is reserved by God Himself, it is secured in full.
Kept by the Power of God
The Apostle affirms, “Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” We are not preserved by our own work but by God’s power.
God’s power holds us fast through every trial, temptation, and season. Our God-given faith is the channel through which this supernatural preserving power flows. The salvation that will be fully revealed at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is already secured by the same supernatural power that raised Him from the dead.
Rest in His Preservation
Today, praise God for His mercy that saved you. Rejoice in the eternal inheritance reserved for you in heaven. Trust that God’s power alone will preserve and keep you right through to the return of Jesus. Your salvation is secured by God’s power, not your own effort, so live confidently, gratefully, and boldly in this living hope.

Our Father in Heaven,
Thank You for Your abundant mercy that has given me new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus. Thank You for my incorruptible inheritance reserved in heaven and help me to trust that You will keep me secure by Your supernatural power.
