Secure in God’s Armor: Succeeding in Spiritual Warfare
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Prepared for Warfare
Strength in the Lord
Ephesians 6:10–13 calls us to stand firm in spiritual battles. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might,” it begins. Our strength doesn’t come from ourselves. It flows from the Lord’s boundless power.
We face no ordinary enemy in this war. We fight against the satanic forces of evil present in this world. But God equips us to stand, not in our own ability, but through His supernatural power and might. Relying on Him is our first step to total victory.
Armed for Battle
The passage urges, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The devil’s schemes are cunning, targeting our faith and resolve. God’s armor of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His Word protects us fully.
Each piece is essential. We don’t pick and choose but wear the complete supernatural loadout. This divine armor empowers us to withstand attacks and hold our ground in faith.
Standing Firm
Paul explains, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” The “evil day” comes with trials, hardships and temptations. Yet, equipped by God, we’re not defeated.
Standing firm means trusting His provision, resisting compromise, and persevering through prayer. Our calling isn’t to fight alone or in our own strength but to stand in His power, ready for whatever comes.
Equipped for Victory
Today, put on God’s armor. Draw strength from His might, not your own. Face spiritual battles with truth, faith, and the Word as your weaponry. Stand firm, knowing the Lord equips you to overcome. Trust His power, and walk confidently in His victory.
OFG Prayer of Faith
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your mighty power and supernatural armor. Equip me to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes and attacks. Help me rely on Your power alone for victory.
